Hello. I'm Patty, a certified Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. My family is from Ecuador and I am fluent in Spanish and English. I have practiced for 37 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist with children and adults . The last 20 years I have worked in early intervention with young children Birth to 5 years of age. as well as some elementary school-age children . My therapeutic approach is looking at the whole child and getting to learn more about them during each session to motivate them during our sessions . For example, Finding out their favorite color, favorite toys/characters, activities to participate in, places to visit helps me plan their sessions more effectively in their home or school environment. My therapy goals are incorporated in play-based sessions to address speech, language, oral motor , cognitive, sensory and physical areas of development . I enjoy coaching parents during our sessions to help them learn how to incorporate our speech/language goals in functional ways during their daily activities.

Every child is unique; therefore, every treatment plan is unique and tailored to specific needs, motivations, and learning styles. Children typically attend therapy 1-2 times per week for 30-50 minutes per session, although we have great success with microdosing (short 10-15 minute, daily teletherapy sessions) too. We are happy to discuss what works best for both your child's learning and your family's schedule.
